Mukti studied Mass Communication and delved into journalism for some years, working with The Times of India and The Free Press Journal. She eventually got into freelance writing and teaching. She divides her time between writing English content for IT companies in India and abroad and teaching Hindi to Western students from America and Britain. Apart from teaching Hindi to non-Indians, she has also been trained under the ACTFL (American Council for Teaching of Foreign Languages) for rating Hindi and Urdu Language Audio samples of foreign learners in India and Pakistan. She has been certified in Language Assessment by a Foreign Cultural Exchange Company Ed Connects based out of New Delhi.
